CRIME ALERT- Public Notification

CrimeALERT: Update to the Crime Alert issued on May 9, 2023, Burglary in the City of Ithaca Cornell Police arrested and charged Ithaca resident Diamond L Westfield, 39, with one (1) count of Burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony. The arrest stems from the May 9th theft of a backpack from a room in Cascadilla Hall which resulted in a crime alert. Westfield was taken into custody by Ithaca Police on May 12th and turned over to Cornell Police. She was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and is being held in the Tompkins County Jail on $25,000 bail awaiting further court proceedings. People accused of a crime are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty
