CRIME ALERT- Public Notification

Crime Alert - Motor Vehicle Theft – City of Ithaca On June 22, 2023, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the Cornell University Police Department was notified of a motor vehicle theft that occurred at 777 Stewart Avenue, City of Ithaca, on June 19, 2023. A white unmarked tow truck was used to remove a gray 2015 Range Rover bearing Colorado license plate DHE-491 from the parking lot at that location without the owner's permission. At this time, there is no description of the suspect or suspects. The Cornell University Police Department urges the community to take steps to protect their property by closing and locking vehicle windows and doors, not leaving keys in unoccupied motor vehicles, and immediately reporting any suspected criminal activity by dialing 911 or utilizing the RAVE Guardian app.
