Cops, Kids & Toys began in the early 1980s when two Ithaca City Police officers decided to help out a few children. ​Today, volunteers come from every law enforcement agency in Tompkins County, the Tompkins County Probation Department, CUPD, numerous local businesses, and many local citizens. As the number of families in need continues to grow, supporters of Cops, Kids & Toys have risen to the challenge. No gift is too small to put a smile on a child's face!

To receive assistance from the gift program, please send in an application by December 1, 2025.

Today, Cops, Kids & Toys collect, purchase, and distribute holiday toys and gifts to families and children in need throughout Tompkins County. Donation bins are located throughout Tompkins County. Monetary donations can be made online.
